CRELES data can be accessed after submitting the form below. Investigators downloading the data agree to use them for academic research purposes only. It is not permitted to identify individual participants, nor to redistribute the data. Users are requested to submit a copy of any publications using these data to creles-demog@demog.berkeley.edu or to the CRELES Principal Investigators. Publications should include the following acknowledgment:

The CRELES project (Costa Rican Longevity and Healthy Aging Study) is a longitudinal study by the University of Costa Rica's Centro Centroamericano de Población and Instituto de Investigaciones en Salud, in collaboration with the University of California at Berkeley. The original pre-1945 cohort was funded by the Wellcome Trust (grant 072406), and the 1945-1955 Retirement Cohort was funded by the U.S. National Institute on Aging (grant R01AG031716). The study Principal Investigators are Luis Rosero-Bixby and William H. Dow, and co-Principal Investigators Xinia Fernández and Gilbert Brenes.
